Ask Napirai, a moran (herder) from Kenya’s semi-nomadic Samburu people and he’ll tell you that drought doesn’t just cause famine. It ends educations, steals childhoods and causes violence. But he will also tell you there is hope – through planning, adaptation and conservation. He’s been learning about these things from Egmont Partner SAFE Kenya and is now leading other herders in restoring and conserving their land for the generations to come.
