PROJECT ZANZIBAR - MADRASA UPDATE . Alhamdulillah, we travelled to the village of Kizimkazi to meet with a structural engineer who will be overseeing developments in regards to the madrasa. . After some fruitful discussions, we agreed on some of the changes that need to be made to the base of the building including adding solar panels and extending the wudu facilities. The madrasa has a main hall which is also used by the community for other functions such as nikah ceremonies. . As part of the renovations, we are also looking to add an extension which will cater for washing of the deceased and preparing the body for burial. . We are now awaiting quotations and final details in relation to making adaptions to the building. You will be kept informed with all developments #staytuned . All praise is due to Allah سبحانه وتعالى . *PROJECT ZANZIBAR UPDATE* . Alhamdulillah, distributions and zakat donations were completed today. We travelled to Kizimkazi in the early afternoon, a village on the outskirts of Zanzibar, to deliver food packs and cash donations to the impoverished people in the area. . Your donations have had a significant impact on the people and they were full of gratitude. Due to your incredible generosity, we were able to purchase educational material and gift it to the children. Their joyous faces were a sight to behold. . A huge thanks to our partners on the ground, the team went above and beyond to make all this a reality. . We have some final cash zakat donations to give to families in Zanzibar. Also a meeting is due to take place in Kizimkazi with a structural engineer to begin work on the madrasa. More details to follow #staytuned .
