Well, that's all for this year folks! What a fantastic series of concerts we've had with over 18 concerts and more new music than we can even begin to count. Late Music is now taking a short hiatus, as we readjust to the current landscape of arts funding in the UK. However, don’t fear, we’ll be back with a new series in 2026 and hope to see you then. Contemporary music concerts from living composers Contemporary Music Live Celebrating new music in York York Late Music presents a series of concerts in York celebrating the rich variety of 20th and and 21st century music including many world premieres and new commissions living composers performed live. Concerts are normally on the first Saturday of each month with the new season running from October to December 2024 and February to June 2025. Next concerts Ella HodgsonLaws violin and Catherine Laws piano Friday 2nd May 100pmInspirations and Contrasts Stuart OHara bass and Marianna Cortesi piano Saturday 3rd May 100pmMarrying words and music new settings of local poets by local composers The Trio Agile Antonio Bukhar Ssebuuma Freedom Dances Saturday 3rd May 730pmBringing together the freedoms of dance music and rhythm the Trio Agile combine their experimental flair and improvisatory talent with Antonio Bukhar Ssebuuma. Lunchtime concerts 1pm to 2pm Saturday Evening concerts 7.
