Yesterday, another team headed into Reading to remove tree guards from trees that had outgrown them. Working in partnership with Reading Borough Council - James, Bart and George spent the day: removing metal cages; trimming back suckers; removing rotten posts; and clearing any weeds and rubbish away from the bases of the trees. This will help the growth of the trees whilst providing the charity with some fabulous tree guards for our next projects. (fb)
We spent the day clearing a plot for Cianna's Smile Sickle Cell Awareness Charity. We have partnered up with this amazing charity to produce a new community garden that is going to be used by their clients for training and growing produce. We will be going back in October to finish the clearance and make a start on building the raised beds. (fb)
