Grundisburgh Village Hall's amazing green credentials saving significant amounts of carbon and money! Thanks to all of the supporters who made the solar panels possible. - We produce almost the same amount of electricity from the solar panels as we use over the entire year. - 4,500 kWh of electricity provide 18,000kWh of heat from the air source heat pump - 1,300kWh of electricity used to charge electric cars representing over 5000 miles of driving - The solar panels and ASHP help save over £3600 in energy costs in 2024 and avoid 5000kg of CO2 being emitted The 15kWp solar panels were installed thanks to over £6000 of generous donations from the local community, support and involvement of Suffolk County Council in its ambition to Create the Greenest County through the Green Suffolk Fund grant and Councillor Elaine Bryce’s locality grant, the Enabling Communities Budget grant from East Suffolk Council District Councillors and Grundisburgh Parish Council's environmental CIL receipts.
