WELCOME TO THE WORLD ANAESTHESIA SOCIETY Supporting anaesthesia in resource poor settings Our Aims World Anaesthesia Society WAS is a specialist society based in the UK for anaesthetists with an interest in working in low income regions of the world. Missions To support efforts to improve the provision of anaesthesia and perioperative care in low resource environments whether through practice education innovation or research. Networking To promote such efforts through seminars publications social media workshops and conferences Academia To support academic educational and service provision projects in the form of grants and awards Our Partners We work in partnership with several groups to support and promote global health in anaesthesia both from a practical and an academic perspective.
