On Thursday, Jenny and Kevin led a 22 mile ride from Hatch End to Leavesden Country Park. The route started with a challenging ascent of Brooks Hill before we used quiet residential roads to reach Bushey. We made our way to Meriden and passed under the North Orbital Road. From there, we had one more climb up High Elms Lane before reaching the Country Park. Our refreshments were taken in the warm sunshine with Dave's fully loaded hot chocolate providing him with more than enough calories for the return journey. We were joined by The Other Kevin, who couldn't make the whole ride but managed the six mile round trip from home. Before heading back, we took some time to look at the sculptures in the park. We passed the Harry Potter Experience and completed the ride via Watford and Carpenders Park. Thanks to Colin, Martin, Dinah, Hazel, Dave, Naran and Lorraine for joining us.
