Community brass band based in Woodbridge, UK, since 1846. Fabulous and friendly - available to hire or to join! We are now a registered charity, our number is CIO 1193770. Woodbridge Excelsior Band is a Brass Band established in 1846. The Band provides an opportunity for anyone who is interested in playing music within the setting of a traditional Brass Band. The Band performs traditional favourites, modern pop music and contemporary music. It can be hired for concerts, local fetes, civic parades, carol services or private functions, throughout the entire year.

We have a strong history and earliest records show that the band in one form or another has been in residence in Woodbridge since 1846. We39ve previously been a temperance band and records show the only time the band stopped rehearsing was due to the World Wars. Available for hire all year round we play at a wide variety of functions ranging from concerts beer festivals weddings fetes and private parties.
