THANK YOU ACORN VOLUNTEERS! What a lovely way to spend an afternoon. At first the weather decided to tease and we arrived at Fingle Bridge in a scattering of rain but that soon dried up and about 15 of us plus three dogs set off on our circular walk to the Salmon leap and back on the other side of the river. Arriving back at Fingle Bridge we then had a splendid (and we mean SPLENDID) afternoon tea in the Fingle Bridge Inn with constantly filled Pots of Tea, plates of sandwiches, scones and cakes. No dinner for this writer that night! Acorn appreciates all its volunteers and sadly not everyone could make it on the day but very much appreciated nonetheless. (fb)
