🌟💜 A carer is someone who provides unpaid care and support to a family member or friend who needs extra help as they grow older, due to a number of reasons such as disability and illness. It’s important to recognise that not everyone wants to identify as a carer, but those doing so may be unaware of financial and practical support they are entitled to. Our weekly Memory Wellbeing Centre run by the Dementia Support Service is just one example of support provided at St John's Winchester: it's a space where the carers of those with dementia are valued and connected with one another in the local community. 🤝 Head to carersweek.org to find out more about Carers Week 2025. 💡 (fb)
