We're looking for runners to join us in running the Women's 5K/10K and help raise funds for Refugee Women Connect. From beginner to seasoned runner, we're encouraging everyone to get involved. This year you'll have the option to run the 5K or the 10K race. The 5K race is perfect for those who are new to running. Home Secretary Yvette Cooper has announced that she plans to overhaul the UK’s family reunion policy, which allows people to bring their partners and children to the country once they are granted refugee status. Cooper is understood to be looking into new measures such as a minimum period of time refugees must be settled and proof of their financial stability before they can bring family members to the UK.
