Welcome to Wakefield and District Society for Deaf People Wakefield District Society for Deaf People is a specialised service concerned with the needs of deaf deafened deafblind and hard of hearing people throughout the Wakefield Metropolitan District. This service is essentially funded by Wakefield Council. We employ people with direct or indirect experience of deafness and offer advice on equipment and other deaf related issues.
