Sometimes, something just clicks in your head and you come to realise you need a new life course. Health and fitness to enjoy life are now a priority. Something I’ve neglected. Realising I’ve invested far too much into a hobby that is simply not all it’s cracked up to be. The question becomes ‘where and what next?’ It’s a bit like a New Year’s resolution time. I’ve got to get my weight down to a manageable level. I’ve got to get fit. Having had a double shoulder replacement I stopped playing Racketball. Big mistake! It kept me fit. Aided weight maintenance and was great for my mental health. I need a new Racketball or maybe Pickleball partner. The eating thing, I can sort by myself but no more school dinners after 8pm unless it’s exceptional circumstances. All of my ‘friends’ who are over 50 need to do this too. To stave off medical issues and prostate problems. To feel good and look good. So, come on friends, who wants to join me in a lifestyle change? I won’t hold my breath but I will hope. It’s better to do a journey like this with friends rather than on your own. We can’t stop getting old but we can hold back the tide. (fb)
