As in the past several years, Grace Church is joining with Rendlesham Parish Council to hold an open-air Remembrance Day Service at the Temporary Village War Memorial in Jubilee Park, Rendlesham. You are invited to attend this moving occasion, which pays tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of the men and women of our villages who served in conflicts past and present. The short service will start at 10:45am with a time of reflection on the cost of war. At 11am we will be observing a “2 minute silence” together with millions around the country. As we think about those who have given so much; “We will remember them” with gratitude. Then we will spend a few minutes thinking about the Bible’s promise of lasting Peace. The service will finish around 11:15am. We would love it if you joined with us for this special time, and then with us afterwards for coffee and cake kindly served by the Rendlesham Coffee Shop which will be open. We will have a tab so it is all on us! There is parking available on the site. (fb)
