Providing prehospital emergency critical care to the people of Bedfordshire Hertfordshire. Volunteer Delivered PreHospital Critical Care BHECCS volunteer clinicians are oncall in their free time to provide advanced medical and trauma care to patients who have suffered lifethreatening injury or illness in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. Activated by the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust EEAST BHECCS volunteer clinicians respond using blue lights and siren in either their own vehicle from home or in the dedicated scheme response car. BHECCS volunteers are highly trained prehospital clinicians who bring a wealth of experience to every patient in addition to carrying lifesaving drugs equipment and treatment not usually found on an emergency ambulance.
