The Society of Dix-Neuviémistes (SDN) offers a lively forum for the dissemination of research on French and Francophone studies in the long 19th century. An international society offering a lively forum for the dissemination of research on French and Francophone studies in the long c19th. www.sdn.ac.uk The object of the SDN is to advance education for the public benefit, specifically in relation to nineteenth-century French history and culture. To this end, it organises an annual international conference and supports an international peer-reviewed academic journal, Dix-Neuf. The SDN also runs training workshops and administers several research awards.

SDN Society of DixNeuviemistes HOME Welcome to the Society of DixNeuviemistes Founded in 2001 the Society of DixNeuviemistes SDN offers a lively forum for the dissemination of research on French and Francophone studies in the long nineteenth century 17891914. It encourages a wide range of inquiry including cultural historical linguistic literary and philosophical perspectives. Although based in the UK and Ireland the SDN has a truly international membership ranging from senior professors to postgraduate students it is particularly welcoming to young researchers. Its activities include an increasingly popular annual conference which attracts speakers from around the world and the publication of DixNeuf a fullyrefereed academic journal which produces four issues a year.
