Today is International Nurses day and we are pleased to be able to recognise and thank all of the amazing nurses out there for the support and care they provide to all of their patients on a daily basis. Nurses however provide so much more then just physical care, they are often the friendly face that helps put a child at ease when they visit hospital; the one who makes them laugh and smile whilst they are waiting for an operation; or the one to reassure Mum and Dad that its all going to be ok. Helping children and young people with Down syndrome reach their full individual potential We are a Surrey based charity providing exceptional support and specialist services for children and young people who have Down syndrome. We support families too by providing guidance advice and friendship. By raising awareness about Down syndrome we also raise expectations about what our children and young people can achieve. No label no limits We believe there should be no preconceived limit on what a person who just happens to have Down syndrome can achieve.
