The Canadian Federal Government has identified areas for a second round of retaliatory tariffs in response to tariffs placed on Canadian goods by the United States. Tariffs include categories of materials books childrens books digital media like CDs movies and video games that are regularly purchased by libraries in British Columbia as part of our services to our communities. The Federal Finance Department is conducting a consultation on the proposed retaliatory tariffs with a deadline of April 2. Consider sharing your concerns both as library supporters and individuals and as trustees with fiduciary responsibilities.
