We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Sandra Goodwin, a long-time friend and volunteer with Community Living Cambridge. Sandra gave an incredible 55 years of volunteer service to CLC, alongside her work with other organizations. She was also a founding member of the Special Olympics program in Cambridge. Earlier this year, she was honoured with the King Charles III Coronation Medal for her decades of volunteer service. At CLC, Sandra was a coach, a bus driver on countless adventures, and the welcoming face at our dances and events. She greeted people by name and would step in wherever help was needed. For Sandra, it was always about the people and the connections she built. Her dedication carried through her family as well, with her daughter Jennifer working as a manager at CLC and her grandson recently joining our maintenance team. Sandra witnessed the evolution of CLC over the years, but what never changed was her presence, her kindness, and her care for the people we support. Sandra never volunteered for recognition, though we celebrated her every year. We needed her, and she needed us. She will be missed beyond measure. (fb)
