CCRW is proud to be a part of the Atlantic Canada Autism Employment Project which aims to increase employment opportunities for individuals on the autism spectrum across Atlantic Canada. Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) has allocated $5 million through the Opportunities Fund for Persons with Disabilities to launch the Atlantic Canada Autism Employment Project. In addition, Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) has provided funding for the project through its Regional Economic Growth through Innovation program. This region-wide eFort brings together Avalon Employment Inc., TEAM Work Cooperative, ResourceAbilities, and the Canadian Council on Rehabilitation and Work (CCRW) to adapt a proven transitional employment model that emphasizes employer engagement, individualized supports, and sustainable outcomes. Autism@Work aims to improve employment outcomes, close service gaps, and build inclusive workplaces where neurodiverse individuals are recognized as valuable contributors.
