Today, Aris Babikian, Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) for Scarborough–Agincourt, and the Honourable Raymond Cho, Minister for Seniors and Accessibility and MPP for Scarborough North, announced that the Ontario government, through the Ministry for Seniors and Accessibility, is providing over $137,000 in funding to Carefirst. This funding will support initiatives that promote seniors’ health, enhance social participation, and strengthen community connections. Helen Leung, Chief Executive Officer of Carefirst, expressed sincere gratitude on behalf of the organization for the government’s support. She accepted the cheque together with a group of seniors and staff representatives. The two guests also shared heartfelt stories with the seniors in attendance, highlighting the importance of senior services in the community.
