10 years ago, MakeWay joined philanthropic organizations across Canada to sign The Philanthropic Community’s Declaration of Action, committing to use our resources to support reconciliation. On the ten-year anniversary of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s closing events, we renewed this commitment at The Circle on Philanthropy's All Members Gathering on xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) territories. We extended deep gratitude to The Circle for their incredible facilitation of this important work, for inviting accountability within relationship, and for hosting such a vibrant and nourishing gathering. We are fully dedicated to this work—to learning from our successes and mistakes, to doing better, and now, to getting to work and breathing new life into our commitment. (fb)
