Sîhtoskâtowin (pronounced see-tos-ka-toe-win) is a nēhiyawēwin word that means ‘to lift each other up.’ It’s a word that beautifully reflects the spirit of the work we’re supporting and co-creating to bring more accessible philanthropic funding to rural and remote Saskatchewan. Launched in 2023, The Sîhtoskâtowin Program is 100% Indigenous-led, establishing a Working Group comprised of locally based people based in Saskatchewan and involved in Indigenous-led community work.
