We hosted a webinar today on making Word documents accessible, tailored for the recent grantees of The Winnipeg Foundation’s Multi-Year Grant program. Through this session, we shared practical strategies to help organizations create documents that are clear, inclusive, and accessible to everyone. People with disabilities experience unique risks and barriers in the face of climate change, yet their voices are often overlooked. The Disability Climate Solutions Network is designed to connect, support, and empower disability leaders who want to engage in climate action. Through this network, members will: - Take part in peer-led discussions on disability-inclusive climate action. - Gain access to advocacy tools, research, and policy discussions. - Help shape a monitoring framework for disability and climate issues in Canada. - Participate in the development of a National Strategy on Disability and Climate Change.
