On Orange Shirt Day, we remember the First Nations, Métis, and Inuit children who never came home, and honour the Survivors, families, and communities forever impacted by residential schools. Children and staff in our Aspire program spent time learning, creating, and sharing to carry this message forward - that the truths of the past must never be forgotten, and every child deserves love, safety, and belonging. We encourage everyone to wear orange, reflect, and take time to learn about the history and ongoing impacts of residential schools. 🧡 At our Glenrosa Club after school program, children spent time creating paintings that reflect love and kindness toward the people around them. This activity helped them learn about the importance of Truth and Reconciliation, and the role we all play in building respect, understanding, and healing.
