💙- During National Nurses Week, we're recognizing the incredible Ottawa Inner City Health nurses that provide amazing care at our DYMON Health Clinic. 🏥 - Diane shares how she and the rest of the nursing team don't just see to the healthcare needs of the vulnerable community, they're also helping our entire healthcare system out as a whole: "This clinic can help with the overwhelming number of ER visits, and provide safe and accessible primary care... Many homeless or precariously housed individuals have complex mental health conditions and other needs, which can overwhelm the ER or other community resources... It's great that so many services come to the clinic to help provide the care that is needed. " 🤝 - Indeed, we are fortunate to offer primary, dental, eye, mental health, chiropractic, vascular care, and so much more at our health clinic. With OICH nurses doing amazing work each and every day, we're able to break down barriers and make healthcare accessible for all! (fb)

For her part, Lesley passed along praise to the entire team: "It's very special to work in an environment where everyone: administration, frontline staff, housing workers, social workers, mental health support workers, peer support workers, doctors, dentists, nurses, other allied health care workers, and more, all work hard to provide as much as they can to our vulnerable population... The level of compassion and caring is beyond what I could have imagined. And the clients are so, so grateful for the care that is given to them." 🤗 - So, while we recognize nurses this week, as Lesley points out, we couldn't provide accessible and barrier-free healthcare to our vulnerable community without an entire team.
