**Mock Exercise Summary** Today, members of #Cochrane Search and Rescue engaged in a mock search operation throughout the local area. The objective was to locate a missing person who had been unaccounted for and had known health concerns. Eight teams were deployed to various designated locations where the individual was believed to be. These locations spanned from urban settings to wooded areas, and team members adapted their strategies to suit the differing terrains. Shortly after 2 PM, following a four-hour search, the missing person was found safe and unharmed. This exercise provided an excellent opportunity to incorporate new technology that enhanced our search efforts. Notably, we utilized mapping software that allowed search managers to monitor each team's progress in real-time on a mapping interface. While this technology does not replace our traditional equipment, it significantly improved our search capabilities. Great job, team! (fb)
