The Medicine Hat Folk Music Club would like to take a moment to share the news of our dear friend, long-time volunteer and board member, Jack Nelson unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, May 19th, 2025, surrounding by his family. Jack has been a life blood within the organization for many many years and will be greatly missed this year and for many years to come! Jack was always willing to help anyone in need, and was never far when it was time to get the work done. Jack served as our volunteer coordinator for several years until 2024 when he decided to take time away to enjoy retirement and his artwork he loved to create. A celebration of life will be held tomorrow, Thursday, May 29th at Harmony Hall in Redcliff from 2pm to 4pm In lieu of flowers, the family has asked to make donations to CKUA Radio in Jack's name as he was always tuned in to his favorite station.
