Join us at the Dreamcatcher™ ranch from 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟯𝟬𝘁𝗵 - 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟭𝘀𝘁, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 to learn how you can safely and ethically integrate animals into your practice! With over 14 years in the field of Animal Assisted Human Services (AAHS), our Clinical Manager and Registered Psychologist, Melonie Labrecque will teach you about the intricacies of conducting AAHS within a therapeutic or educational setting. In this 3-day experiential internship, you will be introduced to a variety of animal species commonly worked with in AAHS, including canines, equines, and other farm animals. Each day will provide you with a balance of theoretical discussions, applications in AAHS through various demonstrations and activities, and will also include access to resources, as well as opportunities to network, engage in meaningful conversations, and provide valuable feedback. Finally, we will be ending the internship with a group consultation where you will be supported by our facilitator to assist you with your current or future career objectives! Options to attend in-person or online are offered. While both options are wonderful for learning, participants who want a fully immersive and hands-on experience may wish to attend the training in-person (highly recommended).
