Emmanuel Bible College is a Canadian nonprofit organization designated as a registered charity by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)[2][3]. It is an interdenominational Evangelical Christian institution located in Kitchener, Ontario[5].
History
Established in 1940 as a Bible school in Stouffville, Ontario, by Ward M. Shantz, the college initially relocated to Gormley and then to downtown Kitchener in 1943. It moved to its current location in 1964[5]. In 1982, Emmanuel Bible College received accreditation from the Association for Biblical Higher Education, allowing it to grant degrees following a provincial legislative change[5]. However, this accreditation expired in February 2023 and has not been renewed[5].
Mission
The mission of Emmanuel Bible College is to equip believers for ministry through academic biblical education, spiritual formation, and practical service[1]. The college aims to prepare Christ followers who are committed to making a difference globally[5]. Emmanuel provides training in Christian discipleship and ministry for all ages, offering degree programs, online courses, certificates, and workshops under initiatives like "Refresh"[5].
Educational Offerings
As a post-secondary institution, Emmanuel Bible College offers undergraduate ministry education, equipping students for various Christian ministry vocations[3].
