We're happy to be community partners and support this important initiative for the 2025-2026 Indigenous Youth Artist-in-Residence Program Offered by the Doris McCarthy Gallery with support from the Office of Indigenous Initiatives at the University of Toronto, Scarborough. The Indigenous Youth Artist-in-Residence Program aims to support the practice of a young Indigenous artist by offering paid studio time, professional development opportunities, and mentorship by Doris McCarthy Gallery staff, U of T Scarborough faculty, and professional artists. The residency also offers the opportunity to audit a course at the University of Toronto Scarborough (participating in a class without paying tuition and without the pressure of being graded) and access other University resources (facilities like the U of T Scarborough Library & Makerspace, events like artist talks and workshops, and relationship building with students, staff & faculty). This program is open to Indigenous youth aged 16-29 who are interested in pursuing or further developing their art practice, in any media. Apply Today! Deadline is Friday, November 7, 2025. https://dorismccarthygallery.utoronto.ca/programming/residencies/iyair-applications (fb)
