🔥 Rest for the Weary | Weekly Devotional “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28 Not everyone gets a break this weekend. Maybe you're still working. Perhaps you're juggling kids, groceries, caregiving, and emails while the heat bears down on you. Maybe you're exhausted, not just physically, but deep in your soul. And no long weekend is long enough to fix that. Jesus sees you. The rest He offers isn’t a vacation. It’s not about escaping your responsibilities. It’s about finding Him in the middle of them. It’s the kind of rest that says: You don’t have to carry it all alone. You are not forgotten. You are not failing. You are not alone. This weekend, you might not get to sleep in. But you can take a breath. You can remember that your worth isn’t tied to how much you accomplish. You can pause, even briefly, to let God carry what you can’t. This Week’s Practice: Choose one moment in your day, while washing dishes, walking to your car, or lying in bed, and whisper, “Jesus, I am weary. Carry this with me.” Then breathe. That’s prayer. That’s rest. Prayer: Jesus, You know how tired we are. You see the things no one else sees. Meet us in the middle of our mess. Be our strength when we have none.
