Cantare Children's Choir Society

Cantare Children's Choir Society is a Canadian nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children through choral music education and performance. Founded by Artistic Director Catherine Glaser-Climie, Cantare Children's Choir Society was created to offer extraordinary choral experiences that combine excellence in performance, outstanding music education, community service through song, and touring opportunities. • Kodály Music Explorers Classes: An introductory music experience for children aged 3 to 6, designed to build a foundational love of music in young children and their families.
• Songsters Classes: For singers aged 6 to 12, these classes provide early choral training and prepare participants for entry into the choir ensembles.
• Choir Ensembles: There are four main ensembles for children aged 6 through 18, accommodating varying ages and musical abilities, with over 150 children participating weekly.[1][2]

Performances and Collaborations

Cantare Children's Choir is known for its innovative concert presentations and has performed extensively at prestigious events. Notably, the choir has collaborated with professional groups such as Calgary Opera, Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, Calgary Civic Symphony, and Spiritus Chamber Choir. It has also worked with Grammy-winning artists and participated in major cultural events, including performances for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.[5]

The choir actively supports community organizations by performing at events for groups such as Hull Homes, Child Find, Woods Homes, and initiatives promoting homelessness awareness.[5]
