For the senior French Focus Day, we explored the rich cultural significance of French pastries. In class, we learned about the incredible variety of pastries in France and discovered the tradition of families gathering every Sunday to enjoy them together. We then visited Pastry Culture in North London, where we were treated to delicious, authentic French pastries in a charming, French-inspired setting. Back at school, we rolled up our sleeves and baked les madeleines — a light, biscuit-like pastry dipped in chocolate. Miam miam! (fb)
