**Carrefour Marguerite-Bourgeoys** is a Canadian nonprofit organization registered under Business Number 868607607RR0001, focused on supporting seniors through community engagement and educational programs. Established in the early 1980s, it celebrated its 40th anniversary in the early 2020s[4].  

The organization provides a supportive environment for older adults, emphasizing autonomy, social inclusion, and mutual aid. Key initiatives include educational activities such as language courses (Spanish, French, English), yoga, art workshops, genealogy sessions, and line dancing[4]. A dedicated social worker conducts home visits to assist vulnerable members, while volunteer-led programs foster personal growth and community involvement[1][4].  

In December 2023, Carrefour Marguerite-Bourgeoys relocated to a new facility at 425 Sherbrooke Street East in Montreal, expanding its capacity to serve members. The organization also encourages volunteerism, with approximately 25 volunteers among its 175 members[4].  

Founded by the Congrégation de Notre-Dame (CND), the organization continues its mission through partnerships and activities rooted in popular education principles. Sister Louise Gélinas, a CND member, has been instrumental in leading knitting classes at the center for over four decades[4].
