Introducing OPAL - an adorable dilute Tortoiseshell female. She will be very shy at first but when's she's comfy she turns into a purr machine ... she's a playful girl ...loves to be held like a baby and cuddled .. and when she wants attention she nibbles at your toes. Opal is good with her siblings and other cats but also would love getting all the attention to herself. We don't know how she would be with dogs or young children but would assume it would be harder for her to adjust in a busy home environment. Opal is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and has been treated with parasite control. Opal's sister Olivia (Dilute Calico) is also available for adoption and could be considered together. Olivia is also a shy girl and would adjust more quickly with the help of her sister Opal but they are not bonded and would not have to be adopted together. They are in the same foster home together in Stratford ON so you would have the opportunity to meet them at the same time..Please complete the short online adoption inquiry form if interested in hearing more about Opal (and or her sister Olivia) https://www.felinefriends.ca/foster-and-adoption (fb)
It’s been another busy week for our volunteers, and while we are grateful for their dedication, it’s disheartening to see the growing number of abandoned cats in Stratford. There are various reasons behind this heartbreaking trend, but one important way to help is by ensuring that our pets are spayed or neutered. Many people mistakenly believe that a litter of kittens will be easy to place in loving homes or that selling them might be a quick way to make money or find the word Free before kitten enticing. Unfortunately, that’s not the reality. As these kittens grow and become less "cute," they often find themselves discarded outside, left to fend for themselves. Recently, we learned of three older kittens—about seven months old—who were found frightened and starving, unable to be approached or touched. Thankfully, a compassionate individual stepped in to feed them, but one kitten has since disappeared, raising fears for its safety. The good news is that, thanks to our tireless volunteers two of the kittens were safely trapped and are now on the path to recovery. In a twist of fate, we also discovered a post about a young cat that matched the description of the third older kitten. After connecting the dots, we believe we may find the missing sibling, who was thought to be lost forever. Feline Friends Network is often associated with these heartbreaking stories, especially when cats are left outside. We are overwhelmed with requests, as all rescues are, and it’s incredibly painful for us to turn away those in need, but are resources are limited and we cannot help them all. Together, we can make a difference—by spreading awareness about responsible pet ownership, encouraging spaying and neutering, and fostering a culture of kindness towards all animals. Together, we can make a difference. https://www.felinefriends.ca/ #felinefriendsnetwork #abandonedcats #straycatsofstratfordontario #spayneuter #preventunwantedlitters #stratfordontario (fb)

4107 cats spayed neutered. about us Feline Friends Network We recognize that cat overpopulation and homelessness cannot be solved by adoption alone. Therefore our focus is spay neuter programs the only effective humane solution. Based in Stratford Perth County Ontario Feline Friends Network was founded in 2006 to humanely reduce the problems of cat overpopulation and homelessness in our community.
