Last month, Mabelle Avenue neighbours came together to connect with the natural world and contribute to the ongoing care of Mabelle Park. Over four workshops, 60 participants took part in Indigenous Planting Workshops led by Métis Knowledge Keeper and Earth Worker, Rose. Together, they planted native species, explored existing park plant life, learned about local wildlife and hide tanning practices, and learned stewardship practices to help care for the park. We’re deeply grateful to Rose for generously sharing her knowledge, skills, and teachings with the community.
