This year’s World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) theme —“Be Bold – Age with Attitude” — celebrates the strength, resilience, and wisdom of older adults, while standing up for their right to live free from abuse and discrimination. We're dedicated to ensuring every senior in our community feels safe, respected, and valued. We believe aging should be honoured, and elder abuse eliminated. What can you do for seniors in our community? 🔹Learn the Signs: Understand the different forms of elder abuse (financial, emotional, physical, neglect). 🔹Speak Up: Talk to your loved ones about elder abuse and encourage open communication. 🔹Check In: Visit or call senior neighbours and friends.
