Caring Partners Global Inc.
Caring Partners Global Inc. is a Canadian Christian not-for-profit charitable organization (Business Registration Number: 828221960RR0001) dedicated to empowering and engaging underprivileged communities, primarily in Matangwe, Western Kenya. Founded with a mission to alleviate poverty and promote sustainable development, the organization works across four key areas: health care, education, food security, and economic development[1][3].
History and Background
Caring Partners Global (CPG) began its efforts in 2001 by co-founding the Matangwe Community Health and Development Programme (MCHDP) and establishing a medical clinic in rural Western Kenya. Since then, it has expanded its activities beyond healthcare to include education, agriculture, water sanitation, life skills, and vocational training programs[1][5].
Mission and Vision
CPG’s mission is to serve impoverished communities through ongoing development work in health care, education, food security, and economic development, guided by faith-based values. The organization facilitates partnerships between Canadian donors, local community leaders, and global partners to foster equity and self-reliance among marginalized populations. Its vision is to promote sustainable operational independence by facilitating local leadership development, fostering community ownership of projects and programs[3].
Core Values
The organization is motivated by Christian principles and core values including compassion, honesty, integrity, gender equality, respect for all people, accountability, collaboration, innovative leadership, continuous learning, and commitment to human rights[3].
Key Programs and Initiatives
-
Health Care: Matangwe Hospital, supported by CPG, provides essential services such as maternal and child health care, immunizations, and treatment of communicable diseases to a population facing extreme poverty and poor health outcomes. The hospital sees over 30 visits daily and continues to expand its services with donor support[1].
-
Education: CPG runs a student scholarship program, which started in 2006 with 15 secondary school students and now supports over 315 young Kenyans. The program is recognized as one of the most efficient educational scholarship programs in developing countries, focusing on enabling students from poor families to access formal education[1][3].
-
Food Security: To combat food insecurity caused by drought, lack of clean water, and traditional farming challenges, CPG supports initiatives aimed at improving agricultural practices and access to clean water, thereby helping communities achieve more stable food sources[1].
-
Economic Development: The organization offers skills development opportunities such as tailoring, beading, and basic computer skills training at a community center to help individuals gain employment and improve their socioeconomic status[1][3].
Community Impact
CPG collaborates closely with local leaders and community members to ensure that programs are culturally appropriate and sustainable. Its comprehensive approach addresses immediate needs and builds capacity for long-term self-reliance. The organization also supports essential school services, including providing lunch and uniforms to students at Matangwe Community Elementary School, enhancing student attendance and wellbeing[4].
Caring Partners Global Inc. exemplifies a faith-driven, community-centered model of international development focused on sustainable empowerment in impoverished regions. Through partnerships, education, health care, and economic initiatives, it strives to create lasting positive change in marginalized communities.

BUILDING THE FUTURE The people served by the Matangwe Hospital live in abject poverty and suffer from many preventable and treatable diseases. Reliance on subsistence farming and fishing for livelihoods along with low gainful employment rates results in an ongoing weak local economy and poor health outcomes. The World Health Organization WHO reported that 43 of the Kenyan population lives in poverty. Even today families daily face choosing between food education or health care needs.
