The Most Important Decisions Your Child Makes. It is said that we have 60,000 thoughts every day. Most of these thoughts occur privately within the silent chambers of our own minds. As a parent, have you ever tried to take an inventory of your child’s self-talk? How your child chooses to talk to himself/herself, from moment to moment, make up the most important decisions being made in their lives. And that is why we spend so much time focusing on self-talk at The Young Leaders. Parent Challenge: 1. Ask your child to write down a paragraph describing their strengths. 2. Then ask your child to write another paragraph describing their weaknesses.
