Gord here, from hospital. Early this morning I began processing the videos of yesterday's service. This afternoon I received a visit from Pastor James. He made a comment about there being a lot of wind noise on the recordings, and then gave thanks for it. Apparently when the folks getting things ready for the service arrived earlier that morning, the flies were out in volume. Then, by the time the service was due to start, a wind had gotten up, sufficient to keep the flies at bay. So if you hear a lot of wind noise once we get the recording up, you'll know why. (fb)

There will not be a livestream on Sunday, September 28. Parkwood is closing out its 60th anniversary year with a special outdoor worship service, therefore we cannot livestream or show slides. We do hope that you will be able to join us at 9:30 a.m. on the church lawn as we acknowledge the incredible year that we have celebrated together. After worship, everyone is invited to stay for the usual coffee and tea time, but you are also encouraged to bring a bagged/picnic lunch and stay a while longer. For the children, teens, and those young at heart, we’re also hosting games and activities, so please join us for some fun, too! The bulletin is available on our homepage and we're palling on recording it.
