Overview
Established in March 1998 and federally registered in 2020, the organization provides training to address systemic challenges in financial regulation, including weak legal mandates, institutional resistance, and resource constraints. Its programs emphasize the development of practical tools for implementing international standards and improving crisis management[3][5].
Mission and Programs
The centre aims to enhance the effectiveness of financial oversight bodies through tailored on-site training, case studies, simulations, and group discussions. Key focus areas include:
- Cross-border cooperation and capital analysis
- Gender inclusion in financial policy design, with efforts to eliminate discriminatory practices and ensure gender-balanced participation[3].
- Post-program support to help participants implement action plans and institutional reforms[3].
