✍️ Sunday Notes - May 4, 2025 ✍️ How you pray tells what you believe Truths that effect you profoundly change your prayers Even concerning the basics of the Gospel Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. note the context vs. 1 - 5 and also the tenses vs 5 - 6; 8 1 Peter 3:18 Begin with Hallowed be thy name and end in Jesus name Even the basic - concerning repentance Romans 3:25 - 26 1 John 1:9 this clears God in what the spirit world would say there is something fishy going on in the court on sinners Here's a prayer shift The problem with obedience out of gratitude Look how much He has done for you - how are you doing in return Not possible - can't even begin to Romans 11:35 - 36 don't turn grace into a trade - thank you I will pay you back Turn it into praise to His glory Eph 1:6; 12 and 14 Gratitude tends to look back rather express faith Hebrews 11:1 Commit to future reliance and move forward in obedience Joshua 1:9 faith, obedience to take the land Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. (fb)
