We are very excited that the Anglican Foundation is partnering with us in the production of an upcoming "Baptismal Video" that will be useful for candidates for baptism, as well as for their families, godparents, and sponsors. This short film will express the meaning of baptism and give candidates and their families a good idea of what to expect of the sacred liturgy. The film will function as an introduction into the Christian community, the Church just as baptism is our entrance into that same community. Furthermore this video will highlight the perspective of the Indigenous churches of our diocese expressing the teachings of Cree clergy of Northern Saskatchewan, and giving special appreciation to the way the Gospel has taken root and produced fruit in these communities in this land over the centuries. Upon completion, the video be available for free to anyone with an internet connection. We hope it will be a useful catechetical tool, and edifying to many within our diocese or further afield.
