Pruning Workshop in the sunshine yesterday! Thanks to @foodscapeenterprises for sharing all the knowledge 🧠👁️ We learnt about tools, identifying different pruning goals, approaching younger trees vs older trees, identifying fruiting wood & tree wood and heard lots of good tree and fruit jokes that’ll help along the way! Thank you to everyone who joined us, hope to have to host more in the near future ! (fb)

THE MISSION No Fruit Left Unpicked We reduce fruit waste and redistribute it within our communities. Were a grassroots organization on a mission to strengthen Vancouvers food security by harvesting backyard fruit trees and delivering it to organizations serving members in our community who typically have reduced access to fresh produce. Our Impact 105996 Pounds of fruit harvested 1183 Picks conducted 427 Registered tree owners 25 Years running Free Book Download Free Book Download Free Book Download Vancouver Fruit Tree Histories and Communities profiles the unique story of fruit trees in the City of Vancouver which have shaped the Citys urban growth and residential green spaces and importantly reflecting the diverse community Indigenous and settler histories which have been integral to this narrative. Volunteer Volunteers are at the heart of what we do and theres always an opportunity to get involved.
