With Halloween being only 4 days away, it's time for some #halloweenhighlights !! 🎃 The leaves you see belong to the endangered Pumpkin (Red) Ash tree, a rare species to see with only 2 mature Pumpkin Ash known to be left in southwestern Ontario. The species experienced a 90% decline due to the devastation caused by the invasive Emerald Ash Borer... now that's really scary stuff. The remaining trees happen to be in our very own Norfolk County! Let this be a reminder to why it is so important to prevent, manage and treat invasive species! (fb)
