We combine education training research and community practice which integrates academic expertise and local knowledge to create best practices driven by people from the Global South. THE POWER TO EFFECT CHANGE IS IN THE HANDS OF THE PEOPLE Programs Academic Fellowships Community Trainings Practice Centers Diwan Research Our Strategies PLEDJ focuses on people in the Global South who are in positions of structural marginalization made vulnerable because of their economic social or political status such as women indigenous peoples racial and religious minorities and refugees. PLEDJ engages leaders and activists from these communities in the design of practical models of civic organization social work capacitybuilding and research which directly impact their lives.
