As-salamu alaykum dear community members, Masjid in the Park has been given the opportunity to support displaced Palestinian students who are arriving in Edmonton to continue their education at the University of Alberta. These students are facing many urgent needs, including (but not limited to) stable access to food, housing, clothing, and educational tools. As more students are expected to arrive soon, we are hoping to provide as much support as possible. Masjid in the Park will be hosting a gift card and cash drive this Friday, September 5th, during Jummah. We will be collecting donations from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. Our vision is to provide a simple peaceful place that allowsworshippers to take a step away from their busy lives to spend some timein prayer contemplation and reflection. Masjid in the Park is also anoutreach mosque we welcome visitors as guests of God.
