East Central Alberta Heritage Society Home About Society Officers Contact More A 125km historic corridor linking rail industrial and agriculture sites. The nonprofit East Central Alberta Heritage Society was formed in 1997to preserve the exCanadian Northern Railway corridor and as much railway track as possible between Edberg and Morin Alberta. The Society owns approximately 141 km of railway corridor that includes 35 km of active railway line that is rented by a tourism operator. This railway track is the last remaining original piece of track laid in the early 1900s by the Canadian Northern Railway the predecessor of Canadian National Railway.
