The Bergen Swamp Preservation Society was incorporated on June 19th, 1936 as an educational association to preserve inviolate for all time in their natural state the lands known as Bergen Swamp, and such other swamps, forests and wild lands owned by BSPS. Preserve and conserve unique and endangered wetland habitats. Provide educational and research opportunities to academia. Also, provide educational opportunities to the general public about our conservation mission.
